BeachBuggin' 2003 - Southsea Common

For the 4th Beachbuggin' show we returned by popular demand to Southsea Common. The sun shone, the sky was blue and over 1000 lovely v-dubs rolled in to town.

Once again Testament Clothing sponsored the show, which was and is only fitting since they are Southsea locals. Also Pompey based Peter Cooper (VW) Portsmouth were kind enough to support our growing Show 'n' Shine competition. There was an exciting addition this year as well with the inclusion of the Eastpak Pro-Skate and BMX display teams who did a fine job of entertaining the crowds.

The more observant would also have noticed a couple of camera crews strolling about the place making a film of the show which was later turned into a promotional DVD, a cut down version of which can be seen here.

A distinguishing feature of this years show was the flyer. The design incorporated a row of toy V-Dubs of all types driving along the seafront. As we handed these out at other V-Dub events during the months leading up to the show we were constantly engaged in conversation by people who told us how they collected the same toy cars and showed us which ones on the flyer they still needed - weird or cool??
